Are we facing the end of the Arrowverse? One of the bosses of The CW chain is not at all clear about his future.
In 2012 they premiered the series of Arrow which over time became the origin of the arrowversesince other superheroes like The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow either bat-woman. So for 10 years they’ve been making it big with their solo shows and epic crossovers, but now it seems like it’s all coming to an end.
During a press conference, the president and CEO of The CW, Mark Pedowitzspoke about the future of the programs of DC Comics.
“We stay in the superhero business, we continue to work with Greg Berlanti, who has been the creative brains behind The CW DC Universe (Arrowverse). So we’re not as robust as we were in the past, but we’re still very much there… We started with one, this was Arrow 10 years ago, now we’ve moved on to create a bunch of superheroes. And we’re proud of it and we plan to stay in that business. It doesn’t matter what the outcome is, with any sale event or no sale.”
Mark Pedowitz assured that they still have the support of DC Comics Y Warner Bros.
“I think the Warner side realizes the value of having these properties. DC Comics realizes the value of what it does to its marketability, in terms of what these franchises are.”
For now, Arrow has ended, while the series Green Arrow & the Canaries It was presented but they did not produce it. Besides, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Y bat-woman have been cancelled. Fortunately, Flash it seems that it lasts one more season, but the ninth may be the last. So the future of the Arrowverse is getting more and more complicated.
