We hadn’t heard about this project for a while, but Amazon Prime Video surprised us by revealing the first Teaser trailer and release date for ‘The Peripheral’, the new series from the creators of ‘Westworld’. Or, at least, from his producer.
Based on the homonymous novel by Master William Gibson, the series follows a woman trying to piece together her broken family in the near future. For her, smart and ambitious, there seems to be no future, but her future calls to her through a revolutionary device.
Chloë Grace Moretz headlines this serieswhose first season we can see from October 21. Along with her, in the cast we find Jack Reynor, Gary Car, Eli Goree, Louis Herthum, JJ Feild, T’Nia Miller, Charlotte Riley, Alexandra Billings, Adelind Horan, Alex Hernandez, Katie Leung, Julian Moore-Cook, Melinda Page Hamilton, Chris Coy and Austin Rising.

Although they are Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy as producers (and the themes of the novel/series share a lot with their work), the work of creation and showrunner falls to Scott B Smith (‘A simple plan’). In the direction you will find nothing less than Vincenzo Natalyresponsible for ‘Cube’ and ‘In the tall grass’.
