The name of the American actress Amanda Bynes has been around the world in the last few hours after being urgently admitted to a psychiatric center for wandering alone, naked and disoriented through one of the most dangerous areas of Los Angeles.
According to the first reportsit would have been the histrionica herself who signaled to a car to stop and the driver to help her because, according to her words, she had had a “psychotic episode”.
After arriving at the scene, the police took Bynes to the police station, where a specialized mental health team determined that she should be placed in a “psychological detention 5150”, a protocol that allows a person to be involuntarily detained for 72 hours. in a psychiatric hospital to rule out whether it represents a danger to citizens.
This is how the protagonist of programs like “A girl in trouble” and “Hairspray” was admitted to a mental health center and, according to TMZ, it will continue like this for the next few days pending a clear and concise diagnosis.
It should be noted that this is not the first time that Amanda Bynes has received psychiatric help, since from an early age she was diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, conditions that caused her mother to assume her guardianship in 2013.
One of the incidents that grabbed the headlines and led to her being arrested and committed was her attempt to burn down the house of a neighbor of her parents.
