‘Community’ is one of the most popular television comedies of recent times. It has been more than seven years since it came to an end, but in all this time there has been no stop talking about the possibility of its leap to the cinema. Now Alison Brie has confirmed that the ‘Community’ movie is closer than ever.
“There has been movement”
The actress, whom we have also been able to see in titles like ‘GLOW’ or ‘Never among friends’, has given promising news on the UnWrapped podcast, where she has commented on the following about the ‘Community’ movie:
You know what, I’m going to say it. There has been movement. We’ve had some conversations. People are talking and certain things – the wheels are turning. There are legitimate conversations about it. Whether or not they end up in a movie… I’d love it if it did and I hope it does. But the very fact that we are having these conversations is proof that there is progress on that front.
To add more optimism to this, it is worth noting that Joel McHale commented just a few weeks ago that it was “more optimistic than ever” about the film moving forward, while Dan Harmoncreator of ‘Community’, acknowledged last year that he owed us the film.
Let’s not forget that the series itself adopted the tagline of “Six seasons and a movie“. We already have the seasons, we only need the movie. In its favor, it also plays donald glover He has already finished ‘Atlanta’, whose fourth and last season premieres this September, so hopefully it doesn’t end up being left in the lurch.
