According to a study, published in The Journal of Social Psychology, it pointed out that men could become physically attracted to other men when they are intoxicated.
At the time of carrying out this work, specialists from the Western Illinois University in the United States, interviewed 83 heterosexual men who faced different levels of alcohol in their organism.
To carry out the research, called “Will with same-sex and opposite-sex couples”, a procedure had to be followed that consisted of showing the men different 40-second videos of men and women in a bar and they were asked What would they do with that person if they were in front of them?
The responses that were recovered from this ranged from inviting them to dinner to having sex with them.
Some men mentioned being willing to have sex with the women they saw on the tape, however, as alcohol levels increased, their interest in male individuals also increased.
After ingesting 10 alcoholic drinks, the participants registered an attraction at the same level, both for men and women.
As Scottish researchers from St Andrews and Glasgow Universities have found, men and women who have consumed a moderate amount of alcohol find the faces of members of the opposite sex 25% more attractive than their sober counterparts. This factor influences the behavior of individuals towards other people.
