The new installment of ‘Dragon Ball’ is about to hit theaters in Japan and we are getting to know a small trickle of new details. Although we still have a lot to discover about ‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’, the very Akira Toriyama has recently talked about the anime film and one of the best action teams in the saga.

The promotional posters have already been confirming it, and it is that Gohan and Piccolo will be the main dynamic duo in ‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’. This choice has not been random and Toriyama had already been planning the plot of the film since before the premiere of ‘Dragon Ball: Broly’. According to the creator of the saga, it was mainly time to bring Gohan back, who had been more relegated to a supporting role.
“Gohan is actually stronger than anyone…or so they say, but lately he hasn’t had too many opportunities to shine,” Toriyama explained in an interview for the official website of ‘Dragon Ball’. “And to motivate Gohan, he needed his admired master Piccolo instead of his father, Goku.”
“I thought why not try to create a new superhero by bringing these two into the spotlight through intense battles with the Gamma androids,” Toriyama continued.
As we have been able to see in some teasers and in the posters, the film indeed promises many moments of action with Gohan, Picolo and the happy androids. The official synopsis of ‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’ also assures us that Piccolo and Gohan are the main target of gamma 1 Y gamma 2the new creation of New Red Ribbon Armyalthough we still have to be able to see the movie to see what everything is.
