For ten years, Amanda Bynes was everything. He starred in his own variety show at thirteen, acted in his first movie at fifteen (‘Fat Liar’, with Frankie Muniz) and, suddenly, in 2010 he disappeared from the world after co-starring in ‘Rumors and Lies’, with his career on top. Today it has returned to the headlines of half the world as the last great broken toy of a ruthless industry.
The decline of a star
In 2010, having to deal with various private issues in his life (mainly trying to control substance abuse), Bynes decided to take time off from acting.…which have become thirteen years. Although she was supposed to have met her co-stars from ‘All That’ at 90’s Con this month, the sketch show she’s been on since 1996, the truth is that he did not make an appearance.
The actress appeared this weekend totally naked and disoriented through the streets of Los Angeles. Luckily, her psychotic outbreak was treated in time and she is now urgently admitted to a psychiatric hospital, where they are investigating whether she could pose a danger to herself and to others. Bynes was diagnosed a decade ago with bipolar disorder and schizophreniapreventing you from working normally.
In fact, in 2015 she even accused her father of raping her on Twitter, only to later retract and add “The microchip in my brain made me say those things, but he was the one who ordered them to put it on me”.
In 2022, it was considered that she had improved a lot and it was no longer necessary for her parents to take care of her: in these years, Bynes graduated from the Institute of Fashion Design and Merchandising in Irvine (California) and he seemed to have gotten his life back on track. However, it does not seem that we will see the protagonist of ‘Hairspray’ anytime soon.
