The beauty standards of society are a huge question mark today and in large part it is due to the constant changes that happen almost without realizing it. The fast pace with which trends, ideas or what is fashionable change, it is almost impossible to keep up.
While some people have believed for a long time that men have a weakness or taste for very well-groomed or voluptuous women, it seems that the appearance of women does not concern them so much, on the contrary, they prefer naturalness over makeup, this according to a study.
The article was published by Bangor University in the Quarterly Journal of Experimental Psychologyand makes the argument that women are more attractive when they don’t have makeup on.
The investigation was carried out with 22 subjects and 22 women, the exercise was that 44 other women shared a photograph without a drop of makeup and another with them dressed and ready to go out at night.
The results yielded important results, for their part, the men agreed that they prefer them natural, while they opted for the image where they are made up, leaving the clear idea that it is women who are more concerned about their appearance.
“It seems that we are all pretty bad at understanding what others find attractive, and this can lead to self-esteem issues…” said Alex Jones, Ph.D., and co-author of the study.
Natural or “manufactured” beauty is valid in any of its representations and the same applies to women and men, because we already live in a society where they also care about the appearance of their face or skin.
Therefore, the next time you think about your look before going out, think that not everything is makeup, on the contrary, consider it an exercise to begin to accept a face without beauty products and concentrate on accepting that all human beings are beautiful with or if makeup.
