There are several films of a romantic nature that have made use of the resource of travels in the time since the great success achieved in the 90s by ‘Atrapado en el tiempo’. For my part, I am clear that ‘A matter of time’ is my favorite, but now another one has arrived on Amazon Prime Video, a rather curious one. I mean ‘An Almost Perfect Date’.
A different romantic comedy
The film tells us the story of what seems like the first date between Sheila and Gary, two strangers whose paths cross in a bar. Everything seems to be going smoothly until she confesses to him that she has discovered a machine that allows you to travel through time. What could be a trick to attract the attention of the other ends up being shown to be true and everything gets complicated from there.
What stands out the most in ‘An almost perfect date’ is the work of its two protagonists, since both Kaley Cuocothe unforgettable Penny from ‘The Big Bang Theory’, as pete davidson they approach their respective characters very well, knowing how to give them the right charm to connect with the public and that we care what may happen to Sheila and Gary.
Of course, do not expect here a romantic comedy to use, since the script of Noga Pnueli Bet on a dramatic turn that forces you to rethink everything completely. This means that ‘An almost perfect date’ differs significantly from similar proposals, but in return it means that its brilliant starting point is not fully squeezed. In fact, it’s easy to put the odd hit on its science fiction component as soon as you stop to think about it.
All in all, ‘An Almost Perfect Date’ is a quite estimable film and one that also can be seen in a breathWell, not even 85 minutes have passed when the final credit titles appear.
