We must confess that the following story seems to be taken from a chapter of The Simpsonbecause as incredible as it may seem that it is not Homer who in a drunken state changed his dog to the wheel to later accuse him of being the one who was driving drunk, if it happened in Springfield.
It seems like a joke, but believe us, it is not, because on May 13, the United States authorities arrested a subject who was driving while intoxicated and to save himself from the fine, he blamed his pet. Sounds like something Homer would do, doesn’t it?
Curiously, this did happen in a city called Springfield, but not where our favorite yellow characters live, but this was in the state of Colorado. It was the police who reported that on that Saturday, May 13, one of his officers stopped a man for speeding and saw him try to change seats with his dog.
And it is that for this man the most logical thing was to change seats with his only companion who was in the car. So after being chased by the police for 18 meters, he told the officer that he was not the driver of the vehicle.
Logically, upon hearing this and seeing that he was only accompanied by his pet, the officer realized that the subject was driving drunk, so he not only fined him, but also took him to the hospital for the obvious intoxication he was in. Once he was released, the witty man was arrested.
And just in case the doubt arose about what happened to the loin that accompanied his human to the party, it is worth mentioning that after his human was transferred to jail, his faithful friend was released without facing any charge, except that of be a loyal friend.
