have you ever wondered where do the drinks that the contestants drink come from from The Island of Temptations? In the episodes of the Telecinco reality show, the contestants are always with a full glass in hand, although you never see anyone refilling them… A former contestant on the program has clarified this mystery.
Open bar
One of the most common elements in the galas of The Island of Temptations is alcohol. There is no lack of party in which the contestants do not go with the glass full to the top in their hands, which will surely make it easier for them to loosen their tongues with the confessions. But, How does the reality show manage the consumption of alcoholic beverages?
diego perez (AKA James Lover), former contestant on Season 3 of The Island of Temptations, explained in a TikTok how the topic of alcohol works in reality. When asked how much alcohol they gave them, he replied: “Open bar.”
According to Diego, the show constantly refilled their cups, but they did it in the kitchen and never in front of the camera, since “it cannot be shown on television”. Apparently, it is the reality team itself that is calling the contestants to go to the kitchen and fill their glass or give them a shot.
Despite the carte blanche that the program gives contestants with alcohol, Diego points out that there is control and that, if someone passed and he would get “too happy”, they would stop and they didn’t give him more. The former contestant also remembers his former partner in the contest, Manuel González, who was always there to refill his glass and even sometimes knocked on the door and they did not open it.
The Island of Temptations broadcasts its main gala on Wednesdays at 10:50 p.m. on Telecinco and its debate on Mondays at 10:45 p.m. on Cuatro.
