We all like to imagine how we would make (or remake) our favorite series if they suddenly named us showrunners. It is unlikely that it will happen, but some fans have more means and skill than others and manage to make real viguerías.
And now that we have more and more anime converted to live action moviessome fans are daring to create their own versions… and the truth is that they are much better off than some that we have seen lately from the big studios.
After ‘Cowboy Bebop’, there is hope
‘One Piece’ will have its own live action series, there was an attempt with ‘Fullmetal Alchemist’ that has even left us three films, they also dared in their day with ‘Shingeki no Kyojin’… And ‘Naruto’ what?
Well, for now there is nothing official regarding a live action movie of ‘Naruto’, but a fan named Diego Woods who shares his creations on his YouTube channel has given a taste to what would be a movie about Kakashi Hatake.
In the video he has shared his creative process, explaining how he combines CGI and video editing to create the different elements of his short, and especially the movements inspired by the anime. Already in the last section of the video we can see the final result: a little short with Kakashi in action dressed in his ANBU uniform and in which he can even be seen using his Sharingan.
These types of action scenes are usually one of the biggest challenges when transferring combats from anime to live action because they usually lack a good rhythm and times similar to those of animation, but Diego Woods has managed to replicate them very well.
It is not the first live action short of ‘Naruto’ that he has made, because on his channel too we can see Obito Uchiha and Itachi Uchiha in the flesh… And a bit it does leave you wanting to see a movie like this if some studio ever dares to make it with the budget it deserves.
