It has been done a lot to beg, because after almost a whole year since the filming of ‘One Piece’ finally closed Netflix has unveiled the highly anticipated first trailer. We had already been able to see some posters, but this was the first time we had a real look at what the series will be in live action and (above all) at Luffy, Nami, Zoro, Usopp and Sanji.
Come with me, let’s go now. this is going to start
Netflix has gone from not saying a peep with its ‘One Piece’ to unleash a barrage of videos and images with the entire main cast. We already know that the new adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s manga will premiere on Netflix next August 31so it is very possible that during the summer we will receive some more advances.
But in the meantime (and since the trailer is going a bit at full speed and we’ve still missed them a bit) what has been seen is more promotional images with Inaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu like roronoa zoro Emily Rudd like Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson like Usopp and taz skylar like Sanji.
As we are used to seeing them with practically the same clothes during an entire anime arc, it still seems a bit strange to us all the costume change that it seems that the series will include.
But for now the creators of this ‘One Piece’ have paid great attention to detail, because the costumes that have been seen are taken directly from the manga.
as it aims @newworldarturthe clothes that Luffy can be seen wearing in the trailer (beyond the classic red shirt) are inspired by inspired by Eiichiro Oda’s covers for the manga. Taking into account that the days in the series go by and that it is still strange not to have that wardrobe variation, it has been a very helpful way to create more options without straying too far from the original material.
Now let’s hope the rest of the series has gone with this level of care and detail as well. For now we have only been able to see a first teaser that has the fandom of ‘One Piece’ excited and scared in equal measure. It is rumored that for One Piece Day in July we will have a trailer with more chicha, action and effects. So fingers crossed for the Straw Hats.
