Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves has arrived in movie theaters, a film inspired by the famous role-playing game that was released in 1973. This new adaptation of Dungeons and Dragons joins other versions that came from the decade of the 80s to cinema and television.

Dungeons and Dragons: The Animated Series
In 1983, CBS broadcast an animated series produced by Marvel entertainment, Calabozos y Dragones, which arrived in 1986 on the channel 5 of Televisa.
In this story, six friends are abducted by a fairground attraction, which transports them through a dimensional portal to the kingdom of Dungeons and Dragons.
Throughout 27 episodes, spread over three seasons, the archer Hank, the illusionist Sheila, the acrobat Diana, the knight Eric, the magician Presto and the barbarian Bobby experienced various adventures where Venger sought to kill these friends, who were guided by El Dungeon Master.
Dungeons and Dragons: 2000 Movie
New Line Cinema took over the rights to the game released in 1973, with a stellar cast, but criticism from both the press and moviegoers did not favor it.
In the Kingdom of Izmer, wizards use their magic to rule the land. The young Empress Savina (Thora Birch) wishes to use magic for good, but the evil Profion (Jeremy Irons) plans to use her powers to usurp Savina’s throne and bring the kingdom under totalitarian rule.
This tape was followed by a couple more feature films, but these made it directly to home video formats.
Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves
In 2023 Paramount Pictures presents the version of filmmakers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, who made an entertaining and exciting film with Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.
