The success of ‘Avatar: The Sense of Water’ continues to be unstoppable. Very recently it snatched ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ for fifth place on the list of the highest grossing films in history and now has moved up one more positionsurpassing what was entered at the time by ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’.
James Cameron’s film has already reached 2,074.8 million dollars worldwide box office, enough to remove the fourth highest grossing film position from the film directed by JJ Abramswhich stayed at 2,071 million a few years ago.

In this way, the next objective for ‘Avatar: The Sense of Water’ is ‘Titanic’ and its 2,194 million dollars. That it will reach that amount is something that everyone already takes for granted, but there is an added problem, and that is that the romance on the big screen of Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio returns to theaters this coming February. For this reason, do not be surprised if Avatar 2′ surpasses ‘Titanic’ so that just days later the tables turn again.
That also assumes that James Cameron has directed three of the four highest-grossing films of all time., a milestone that I highly doubt any other filmmaker will achieve in the future. The case appears to be that Cameron himself once again demonstrates his connection with the public in a couple of years and that they end up being four out of five when ‘Avatar 3’ hits theaters…
