Meet MODOK, the new threat in the MCU
Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, MODOK is one of Captain America’s classic villains, created thanks to AIM. His debut occurred in the pages of Tales of Suspense #93 (Sep. 1967). MODOK is an acronym for Mobile/Mechanized Organism Designed Only to Kill.
MODOK is a being with a huge head that needs a flying chair to get around, with one of the strangest and most terrifying aspects in the Marvel Universe.
Jealous of Steve Rogers’ perfection, MODOK rebelled against its creators in AIM. George Tarlenton, as he was known in his human stage, is capable of retaining large data banks.
Among MODOK’s great abilities is superhuman intelligence, as well as a memory which can retain vast banks of data, allowing it to calculate the mathematical possibilities of every situation.
However, due to the nature of his mutation, MODOK cannot support the weight of his head, so he has to use a chair equipped with weapons.
