Parents are instinctively protective, and unconditional love for their children makes them go out of their way and do everything in their power to keep them safe, physically and emotionally, in any dangerous situation.
Regardless of age, for our parents we will always be their children, those for whom they will live worried all their lives. As well as Don Félix Cárdenas, who does not mind having to walk the streets of Ñemby, Paraguay, every night to protect her daughter on her return from work.
For three years, the loving 72-year-old father has been walking several blocks punctually until he reaches the dark and desolate bus stop with the aim of protecting his 22-year-old daughter, Belén, and thus prevent her from being a victim of crime or violence.
As an act of gratitude to her beloved father, Belén wanted to honor him by posting a photograph of Don Félix at the bus stop on her Twitter account.
I don’t get home between 8:30 or 9:00 and he is always waiting for me at the bus stop. Old man I do not want you to never miss me, I love you very much.
As expected, the publication of Don Félix’s beautiful act of love towards his daughter did not go unnoticed and managed to go viral, accumulating so far more than 24 thousand likes.
First, he looked for me at work, but then he got used to the idea that it was no longer school, that I had to learn to let go more and walk on my own, but he is always present at stops.
As a child, I arrive at my house between 8:30 or 9 and he is always waiting for me at the stop 😭❤️ old man I don’t want you to never miss me I love you very much pic.twitter.com/lhtVq4bh33

And although one or the other was not lacking hater who wanted to overshadow the nice detail dedicated to Don Félix, criticizing the fact that he is too old to expose himself to the dangers of the street late at night, Belén defended her father stating that he has been warned of the dangers to the that he exposes himself, but that he prefers to wait for her; otherwise, he becomes even more anxious for her safety. Also, she is immensely happy when she gets off the bus and sees that her dad is there waiting for her; she feels safe with him.
I thank my dad for everything he has already done for me, for my brothers and more for my son, he always was and continues to be an excellent father and grandfather.
