Discover some of the worst things that the Illuminati have caused, a group that despite its power has not prevented misfortunes in the Marvel Universe
Bringing together greats like Reed Richards, Tony Stark, Charles Xavier, Stephen Strange, Namor, and Black Bolt into the Illuminati would in theory bring good deeds to the Marvel Universe, but this group has also brought about worse things.

From the expulsion of the Hulk from earth, to a declaration of war on the Skrull empire, the Illuminati have also unleashed worse things that have led to not so pleasant consequences.
Let’s take a look at the worst things the Illuminati have done in their history within the Marvel Universe
The secret war with the Skrulls
Shortly after the formation of the Illuminati, the Avengers found themselves caught between the war between the Skrull and Kree empires. When the dust settled, members of the Illuminati wanted to send the subtle message “get out and stay out!” directly to the Skrull empire.
Their little foray into the throne world didn’t go as well as planned, and the Illuminati left behind enough genetic material to give to the Skrulls.
Tony Stark’s Avengers vs Sentry AND SHIELD?
Readers learned of the Illuminati’s existence in the second arc of New Avengers, when Iron Man confronted the rest of the secret society with the existence of a mysterious man named Sentry.
Most of the assembled Illuminati members gave Tony Stark their blessing to form the new Avengers team, trusting that the billionaire would keep a close eye on the Sentry as well.
However, Tony winced when asked about the growing darkness of the super spy agency. Iron Man lied about what he knew, as he had encountered rogue SHIELD agents in the Savage Land only days before.
Hulk is expelled from the earth
After the Emerald Colossus destroyed Las Vegas, Iron Man had to come up with a difficult solution to the planet’s Hulk problem. The solution: Send Bruce Banner into space to an uninhabited planet.
Stark brought the solution to his Illuminati teammates, receiving votes of approval from all of them except Namor. This single decision set the stage for Planet Hulk and, much to Earth’s dismay, World War Hulk.
Keep the Infinity Stones
Mr. Fantastic thought he had discovered the perfect way to destroy the incredibly dangerous Infinity Stones once and for all. With the help of the Illuminati, Reed Richards gathered all six gems and attempted to use their combined power to erase the objects from existence.
The plan backfired, forcing Richards to reconsider his options. He gave the members of the Illuminati a gem each to protect, but that decision only made it easier for The Hood to steal them.
Erase Captain America’s memory
Faced with the threat of incursions, contractions within the Multiverse causing parallel Earths to collide, literally hanging over their heads, the Illuminati reformed to save the planet once again. This time, however, they would have to destroy the alternate Earth to save their world.
Captain America would not approve of this course of action, even as the rest of the team began building a planet-destroying weapon. Illuminati member Doctor Strange then used a spell to erase Cap’s memories of his time with the undercover group.
