Events like War Machine catching terrorists, James Rhodes’ account in Avengers: End of Ultron, to Thanos’ devastation against Xandar, these battles were relegated from the MCU.
That is why we recount those battles that were not seen within the almost 30 films that make up the four phases of the MCU.
Thanos kills Xandar
In his search for the Infinity Stones, Thanos and the Black Order orchestrate a bloody battle with the Nova Corps, which would lead to the destruction of Xandar.
This violent fact leads Thanos to seize the Gem of Power, the first of the six infinity gems that he would eventually get in the plot of Avengers: Infinity War.
Red Guardian vs Captain America (but not Steve Rogers)
Held in a Russian Gulag for several years, Alexei Shostakov, who was known as the Red Guardian, told his fellow inmates his stories as the Sentinel of the Bolsheviks, most notably his duel with Captain America.
Before being imprisoned in 1995 by the Russian government, Red Guardian claimed that he had big fights with Captain America whom he defeated. Although that Captain was not Steve Rogers, who Shostakov faced was Isaiah Bradley, a soldier with whom the super soldier serum was experimented on.
Doctor Strange finds Lizard
In Spider-Man: No Way Home, after Peter Parker messes up Stephen Strange’s spell, and with the arrival of villains from different universes, Spider-Man starts running into old acquaintances.
While fighting Doctor Octopus, Strange finds himself in the sewers of New York with Lizard, whom he sends to the dungeons of the Santcum Santorum.
Gorr rips off Lady Sif’s arm
Although Thor: Love and Thunder did not have such violent events on stage, acts of brutality occurred behind the scenes, as Thor himself finds out in the first minutes of the film.
After Gorr kills Falligar “the gigantic”, the Butcher of Gods confronts Lady Sif who comes to the aid of the slain god. Gorr shows ferocity and defeats Lady Sif, whose arm is severed by him.
Scarlet Witch beheads Baron Mordo
This is one of the most chilling scenes ever thought up for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. In Universe 616, Baron Mordo battles Wanda Maximoff, who has been corrupted by the Darkhold.
Scarlet Witch and Mordo had a showdown planned at the start of the film, where Wanda killed Mordo, as concept art for the cut scene reveals. This would later be discovered by Strange, whom Maximoff threatens.
