Mediaset wants to make its own strong commitment to cinema, and it is going to do so by almost completely remodeling its channel be mad. From this week, the channel begins a journey where most of its programming will be great cinema of all times, in high definition, and completely free through its open broadcast.
We will find classics and we will also find thematic sessions where films of different genres will be broadcast. To start with a bang, the channel has prepared three big events where we will have science fiction, Oscar-winning films and provocative erotic films. Here we collect three of the great titles that can be seen for free this weekend they will make you tune in to the channel on DTT if you haven’t already.
‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day’ (‘T2 – Terminator 2: Judgment Day’, 1991)
Address: James Cameron. Distribution: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Edward Furlong, Robert Patrick, Earl Boen, Joe Morton.
In “Galaxy 7” we will find spectacular and powerful science fiction, and nothing stands out more in that aspect than James Cameron’s great classic. Probably the definitive film of his, where he completely recast his previous film, gave a new dimension to the characters of Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger, and made a bet on special effects like never seen before. But it certainly endures for its great action, its iron pace and its ambitious message around technological domination.
Open at Be Mad from 10 pm today, Friday.
‘Lawrence of Arabia’ (‘Lawrence of Arabia’, 1962)

Address: David Lee. Distribution: Peter O’Toole, Omar Sharif, Alec Guinness, Jack Hawkins, Anthony Quinn.
Saturday will be the day of “And the Oscar goes to… Be Mad”, where great jewels of the seventh art that were recognized with Academy Awards will be rescued. Among them stands out with the intense light of a sun this masterful work by David Lean, full of classic epic and completely transcendental in its bill, in addition to its marked influence on all subsequent great cinema (James Camero himself, who we have mentioned before). Everything is excellent, from its adventure story to its message, through the incredible music and the great Peter O’Toole.
Open at Be Mad from 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
‘Basic Instinct’ (‘Basic Instict’, 1992)

Address: Paul Verhoven. Distribution: Michael Douglas, Sharon Stone, George Dzundza, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Denis Arndt.
The thing increases in intensity on Sunday with “Be Mad +18”, where great milestones of commercial cinema loaded with eroticism will be collected. And among them there are few more essential than Paul Verhoeven’s great film in Hollywood, where through the Hitchcockian thriller he creates a curly and provocative work on the carnal and desire. Sharon Stone gives one of those legendary performances, with truly unforgettable sequences well linked through intrigue and the excited gaze of the Dutch filmmaker.
Open at Be Mad from 10pm on Sunday.
