How not to love the province of Malaga if we have incredible places to visit. And it has it all: it has the sea, it has gastronomy, people, wonderful corners… Therefore, beyond its capital, which, of course, is highly recommended to visit, we wanted to make a selection of some of the most nice to visit.
frigiliana
Without a doubt, we had to start the selection with frigiliana which is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Spain and it is one of those places where it is pure pleasure to get lost in its streets full of white houses, flowers and wonderful corners.
Round
Who does not know, even if it is heard, the wonderful town of Ronda situated on a gorge which is found in the over the bridge of the Molinos del Tajo to enjoy the town from another perspective. A place full of possibilities, activities and wonderful places to see.
Mijas
Mijas is one of those towns with the most charm, that reach you, that absorb you and enchant you because, in addition, it has everything. And it is made up of three urban nuclei: Mijas Townlocated at the foot of the Sierra of the same name, The gaps which is the most modern part of the municipality, linked to Fuengirola, and the cove located on the seafront where we find a large number of beaches for all tastes.
Of course, Mijas Pueblo is the one that conquers thanks to its white houses, its famous donkeys, its alleys in which it is very easy to get lost (although you do not care) in which to enjoy the flowers and every corner.
Juzcar
A curious town where they exist is Júzcar, a small town that is known as the “blue village” since 2011 when it became a Sony Pictures marketing campaign to celebrate the movie premiere The Smurfs. Now it is no longer known as the Smurf people and it has a great charm.
Nerja
We continue with Nerja one of the most tourist towns in the province of Malaga thanks to its beauty and the wide range of possibilities it offers us. It is full of white houses, it has a very well-kept center and spectacular beaches where, yes, one of our childhood series was filmed Blue summer.
Antequera
The city of Antequera It had to be on our list as well, since its historic center and its important heritage make it an essential place, where the Dolmens, the beautiful Royal Collegiate Church of Santa María la Mayor, the Citadel of Antequera declared an Asset of Cultural Interest or the Torcal de Antequera to name just a few enclaves.
Canillas de Aceituno
Another stop worth making is in Canillas de Aceituno where we find, among many other things, the third largest suspension bridge in Spain in natural spaces, El Saltillo which is ideal for those who love the outdoors. The town itself captures the Andalusian spirit of beautiful white houses.
marbella
Beyond the luxury of Puerto Banús and the extended areas, the center of Marbella has a very special charm and is one of those places that surprises. And it is a place with a typical Andalusian flavor, where you can breathe the essence of the most famous coastal town on the Costa del Sol. It is highly recommended to get lost in its streets where you can enjoy, among other things, the House of the Corregidorthe Hermitage of Santiago or the same City hall.
As a fact, we cannot forget the cheapest and tastiest places to eat recommended by Dani García.
Ardales
Ardales is located between three regions of Malaga: Antequera, Ronda and Valle del Guadalhorce and what we cannot miss is the Caminito del Rey and its famous cave also known as Cueva de la Calinoria or Cueva de Doña Trinidad Grund where you can see cave paintings.
Estepona
Another place with many possibilities is Estepona where its old town, which has been renovated, is one of the most beautiful things you will find and where you can enjoy an urban garden such as “El Jardín de la Costa del Sol”.
Its streets full of white houses, colorful pots and the most pleasant people make it a typical Andalusian town that is worth visiting.
Gaucin
And, despite the fact that there will be many enclaves that we leave in the inkwell, we finished with Gaucín, one of those towns where it is not very hot in summer to the west of the Sierra de las Nieves where we find a large catalog of outdoor and mountain activities and where we will find numerous artist studios that give color to this white town of Malaga.
